As noted by the authors: "In shape, this species superficially resembles a miniature Fusinus (family Fasciolariidae). In colouration it resembles Turris garnonsii, but its shell is much more slender (breadth/length about 0.19–0.22, against 0.25–0.27) and more fusiform with a longer siphonal canal (about twice the aperture length, but subequal to it in garnonsii), and a very strongly undulating profile; its peripheral cord is situated at mid- whorl, while in T. garnonsii it is positioned below the mid-whorl."
